We did missionary work

One of the highlights of this week was having a few families at church. There are a few part member families that we have been working with, the Cifuentes and Lopez families. Both have pretty unique situations, but those that aren't members in the family will be baptized somewhat soon! We also had a couple show up to church, Marisela and Rogelio. They have been taught by elders in the past and we had tried to stop by the first week I was here, but we weren't able to make contact. We were able to meet them at church though and they are excited for us to come by this week!

I did an exchange on Thursday with Elder Barnes in the Foothill ward. We did a lot of street contacting because they didn't have any appointments set up that day, but we were able to stop by one of their families that they are teaching and set a baptismal date with one of the kids.

We have a few more exchanges this week and it'll be my first time going to work with the Chinese elders in their area, so I'm pretty pumped for that!

We had a breakfast at the Stake president's house on Saturday and then Stake MCM on Sunday. The stake is doing great with missionary work, but there is still a lot more we can do!

One of my favorite things from this week was finishing the Book of Mormon. At the end of the Book of Mormon, I really like how Mormon's epistles to Moroni are included and the confidence that they both had in their futures. At the end of their lives, the world couldn't have been in a more wicked state, but since they had followed Christ until the end, they had every reason to believe that they would see each other again in God's kingdom.

We taught some pretty elect people this week that have had prior contact with missionaries in Mexico. One is named Mario and we are visiting his family tonight as well as a guy named Nedy who we are also visiting tonight. Both of them are really interested in the Book of Mormon, which helps us a lot and goes to show that the Book of Mormon is the #1 tool for gathering Israel!
