Jarupachanga

I've been transferred to Jurupa and I'll be staying as a zone leader with Elder McLaughlin! We were comps in Riverside for 2 transfers and he is a powerful missionary, so we are going to work really hard. There has been a lot of good work put in here by the missionaries and members, so it'll be fun to just jump in and see what the Lord will bless us with.

As far as this last week went, we had MLC early on this week. It was really hype because our area presidency has put together some really great goals and plans for us to double convert baptisms overall and even have 5x as many Spanish convert baptisms. Pretty much it's just a full court press. There will be a lot more contact between us and the people we are teaching, us and the members, and then the members and the people we are teaching.

We had a miracle on Thursday night because we were finally able to get in with a part member family after trying for 4 months. The mom and her daughter were baptized in 2017, but I saw on their record that there were 3 kids that weren't baptized, so we had tried for a while to find the mom at home, but she was always working. We had a few plans fall through and we were somewhat in their neighborhood, but we just felt that we should stop by her, and she invited us in straightaway. It was almost 9:00, so we shared something quick and the spirit was strong. They are planning on coming back to church soon, so it will be exciting to hear about how they progress.

On Friday, I was on exchanges with Elder Emry in my area. We were able to have Elder Emry do Nathaly's interview, she passed and will be getting baptized on May 25th and we will be able to go to the temple shortly after with her, her sister Briana and their mom!

We said goodbye to the Martinez-Mendoza family on Sunday night, which was bittersweet, but it will be awesome to see them soon. They are one of the most awesome families I have ever met on my mission, so I will definitely treasure up the memories I have with them.
It was also tough leaving behind the missionaries I was serving with in Moreno Valley because they are some of the best.
I couldn't have gotten transferred to a better place though, so I'm really looking forward to these next 6 weeks!

I've been going through and reading Doctrine and Covenants recently and section 10 was pretty amazing.
V. 55 Therefore, whosoever belongeth to my church need not fear, for such shall inherit the kingdom of heaven.
V. 67 Behold, this is my doctrine—whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church.

The Lord has told us this, so that in this moment, we can know that we are acceptable before Him and we can have a peaceful assurance of eternal life if we continue to make and keep covenants as we endure to the end.
